Palestinians in New Zealand to protest today

New Zealand-based Palestinians are taking to the streets this afternoon to protest against the violence in the Middle East.

A rally will take place down Auckland's Queen St.

The civilian death toll continues to climb in Israel's air offensive against Hamas on the Gaza Strip. At least 429 Palestinians have been killed, and 2,000 wounded in the seven day conflict.

Southern Israel, a substantial tank force is assembling, sparking fears of a ground incursion.
