Israeli attacks on Jerusalem and Palestinian civilians saw a horrific increase this month. Many Palestinians were injured, dozens jailed and others lost their houses.
Director of Jerusalem center for social and economic rights, Ziad Hammouri, said that the IOF intensification of houses’ demolition in Jerusalem aims at reducing the number of the Palestinian inhabitants. The Israeli plan keeps 72-80 thousand citizens holding “Jerusalem identity”.
Hammouri pointed out that, according to the Israeli statements, more demolition and isolation from the surrounding cities will take place.
He stressed that that the Israeli plans in Jerusalem are almost entirely completed. The coming stages will are final touches towards property confiscation of the remaining Palestinian lands. To add, the next plan “Zamosh plans” are plans to change features of Jerusalem including: establishing “cable cars” above ancient Jerusalem, garages and tunnels beneath.
Hammouri warned the citizens of Jerusalem concerning the prospective threats and dangers. Further, he said “all Judaization actions were taken after Oslo agreement. Meanwhile, any activity performed by the Palestinian authority inside the city is prohibited, according to the agreement.”
