Wednesday morning heavily armed Israeli settlers invaded Safa village, north of Hebron, backed by Israeli Occupation soldiers. The settlers approached residential areas and opened indiscriminate fire. Twelve Palestinian victims were treated for gunshot wounds. Fifteen others were treated for smoke inhalation.
Local youth from the neighboring villages of Beit Ummar and Surfir were held in check by occupation soldiers after responding to distress calls sent via mosque loudspeakers. The settlers finally ended their carnage spree, stealing Palestinian livestock as they left.
Israeli authorities report a Palestinian killed a 7 year old girl with an axe in the Israeli settlement of Bat Ayin last Thursday. The notorious settlement is home to the Bat Ayin Underground, and Israeli terrorist organization. The father of the 7 year old victim, Ofer Gamliel, is currently serving 15 years in prison for attempting to blow up a Palestinian girls' school in 2002. Two other settlement residents are also serving sentences for their involvement in the planned attack.
Gamiel will be released to attend his sons' funeral.
